IPEA International Percussion COMPETITION 2024 (Hong–Zhuhai–Macau)
After a five-year hiatus, the IPEA International Percussion Competition, the largest and most prestigious percussion competition in Hong Kong, returns to the stage. Hosted by The Pegasus Vanguard and co-organized by the International Percussion Education Association (IPEA) and Hong Kong Percussion Academy, the judging panel comprises professional adjudicators, including internationally acclaimed master-level performers, top-notch educators in percussion, and lecturers from universities and music schools. They will evaluate participants based on international professional standards.
The competition categories include:
Individual - Drums, Snare Drum, Xylophone/ Marimba, Timpani, Chinese Percussion and Drumline
Ensemble - Western Percussion Ensemble, Chinese Percussion Ensemble, and Drumline Ensemble.
IPEA International Percussion Competition 2024 (Hong Kong - Zhuhai - Macau) provides a platform for young percussionists in Hong Kong to showcase their talents while promoting the development of percussion education. Winners will be able to represent Hong Kong in the 2024 IPEA Percussion EP, which will be held in Shanghai in October 2024.
- Competition Dates: July 12-14, 2024 (Friday to Sunday)
- Venue: Ying Wa College (1 Ying Wa Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon)
- Registration Deadline: June 16, 2024（Sunday）23:59
- Early Bird Discount: Register before May 24, 2024 (Friday) at 23:59 to enjoy a 10% discount
